Márffy Ödön
BUDAPEST, 1878 – 1959, BUDAPEST
A significant figure in the École de Paris. He began his training at the Pattern Drawing School, becoming a pupil of Jean Paul Laurens at the Julian Academy of Paris in 1906 while continuing his studies with Cormon at the École des Beaux Arts. His work was exhibited at the Salon d’Automne in 1906 and 1907. He was a member of MIÉNK and of The Eight. The founder of KUT, he was its president from 1927; he joined the European School in 1945.
